About

A little about me

Hi, I'm Jamie. I'm a freelance product and brand designer based in Melbourne.

I work across UI, identity, and the design systems that hold the two together — usually working with businesses and charities who'd rather get one thing right than three things half-finished.

Most of my work sits at the join between product and brand. UI on one side, identity on the other, and the system that keeps both consistent in the middle. That join is where the interesting decisions happen, and where most projects either come together or fall apart.

I've been doing this for a while. Long enough to have opinions, short enough to still enjoy the argument. I started in Melbourne advertising agencies doing print, spent five years in London working with Transport for London on Overground, Oyster, and Buses, and have spent the years since on digital product and brand work for clients I'm genuinely proud of.

I work best with people who care about craft, value direct conversation, and aren't in a rush to ship something they'll regret.

How I work

  • Considered craft over volume

  • Direct, honest conversation

  • Long-term thinking, not project-by-project

  • Open standards and quality worth paying for.

If you’re looking for a well credentialed designer, with a strong digital bent, then Jamie is undoubtably your man.
